With more than 800 seats, both modern and classic (including the original balcony love seats) and one huge screen graced by our magnificent curtain, the Bloor remains the ultimate place to see movies the way they were meant to be seen. A multipurpose arts and cultural center for: improv training, sketch workshops, live plays, live comedy, filmmaking, production studio, movie theatre, rehearsal space, art gallery, and of course film festivals. A great place to present a play or show films. The venue provides a great space and stage for performers to host and present their work. On a weekly basis this theatre carries out a number of comedy shows and film related events. As another note, attached to the Giggle Shorts Centre just below is another theatre and event hosting venue called "The Annex Live". This pseudo restaurant / jazz bar is also another perfect venue to showcase film works from abroad. This venue is packed with good eats, a fine selection of liquors, and unbelievable live jazz music. |
